HVCC and Living Resources Corp. partner to bring CareerNext to students

 

During a brief ceremony on Jan. 13, Albany-based Living Resources Corp. and Hudson Valley Community College established a new partnership that will bring Living Resources’ “CareerNext” Program to the college. The program, set to begin in the Fall 2022 semester, will expand access and support for students with disabilities who are served by the college’s Center for Access and Assistive Technology.

In addition to President Roger Ramsammy, Vice President for Academic Affairs Judy DiLorenzo, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs Ronalyn Wilson, Vice President for Student Affairs Louis Coplin, Penny Hill, dean of Economic Development and Workforce Initiatives, and Patty Klimkewicz, dean of the School of Health Sciences, represented the college. On hand from Living Resources were Elizabeth Martin, CEO; Kevin Tully, president, Board of Directors; Shawn Viana, president, Foundation Board of Directors; Jennifer Richard, associate executive director for Programs; Colleen Dergosits, director of College Programs, and Kristin McInerney, senior admissions coordinator for CareerNext. Staff from the CAAT, where Deanne Martocci serves as director, also attended the ceremony.

Local media and others were invited to the agreement signing held in person, with some attending virtually, in the Board of Trustees room in the Guenther Enrollment Services Center.
